Datametrics Corporation's CEO exhibits
the new IPS3300™ Printing System at the International Sign
Association's 2001 Sign Expo.
Wednesday, March 21, 2001, Datametrics Corporation
(OTCBB: DMTR) Chief Executive Officer, Vince Cahill, will unveil the
new IPS3300™ printing system at the International Sign Association's
2001 Sign Expo in Las Vegas, March 22-24. This new industrial printing
system presents an economical solution for printing flexible retro-reflective
and standard vinyl, polyester, polycarbonate, cardboard, paper and
other flexible materials. Its users can produce signs, unregulated
license plates, decals, labels, nameplates, tickets and other print
products.
The IPS3300™ is a high speed (900 sq. feet per hour), four-color
thermal printer that offers exceptional resolution and functionality
with ease of operation and maintenance. DmC Industrial Imaging Systems
(DmC IIS), a division of Datametrics Corporation, has developed and
integrated this new printer with Amberware™ a graphic user interface
(GUI) program. In addition, the Company will outfit the IPS3300™
printing system with a proprietary media identification system used
to automatically configure the printer's performance parameters to
provide optimal print results based on the installed media/ribbon
combination. These features greatly reduce the time necessary for
setup changes and to train operators while enhancing ease of use.
According to Mr. Cahill, "Our new IPS3300™ is a unique industrial
printing system that gives its users a significant production edge.
It is not a typical light-duty office or slow sign printer, but rather
a rugged smart industrial printer with its own heavy-duty computer
system. This remarkable computer system and concurrent four-color
thermal transfer technology prints variable data at speeds to match
the needs of high production. It prints a wide variety of media to
satisfy a wide range of production printing applications. Users can
produce outdoor durable images that last for three years unprotected
and five to seven years protected with UV filtrating laminates. It
can even print sublimation and pigmented transfers for textile transfer
printing. It provides the best of both worlds, the versatility of
digital printing with the speed of traditional printing."
DmC IIS is equipping the IPS3300™ with additional processing
and finishing options such as winder/re-winders, die-cutting, slitting,
weeding and laminating to create a semi-custom printing system tailored
specifically to a wide range of customer's needs. Datametrics Corporation
offers more than just a versatile printer with the IPS3300™.
It offers a guaranteed system. CEO Cahill said, "We designed the IPS3300™
to carry both CE and UL certification. We stand behind this robust
system with service, training and quality material supplies. We do
not just sell printers. We provide total industrial print solutions."
